It Got Meta on Hubpages

Last week, I wrote two sister articles, An Open Letter to Open Letters and Top 5 Things I Like About Top 5 Lists. It’s a concept I always wanted to do, in which I use the form of the article to talk about the article form.

It appears that someone read my work, and took my tips into consideration. Open letters in particular are commonplace on my school’s chapter of “The Odyssey,” and often fall into the trap of using the template headline “An Open Letter to ____,” often having very personal information attached to them.

I’ve seen a lot less articles use the template headline since publishing the article, which overall makes stronger articles readers can identify with.

I hope to do more articles like this in the future. I’ve been kicking around a few ideas, like “A Letter to the Editor About Letters to the Editor,” or “A Blog Post About Personalized Blog Posts,” and I might even go into video.

If you have any other ideas, be sure to let me know!
